SALT and user commands in runtime

Postby UliH on Tue Nov 28, 2017 2:22 pm

Hello, I'm new here...

I have a problem with a runtime session (created as Standalone Executable)!
I get get error message "This Dyalog APL runtime application has attempted to use
the APL session and will therefore be closed."
The error occurs in the runtime by ⎕SE.SALT.List!
Can someone tell me how to fix the error?

Thank you!

[I have created a new topic for this thread and moved the post here].

Ulih has contacted Dyalog Support and we have informed him that SALT and User Commands can be run in a runtime or development environment (that does not have anything in ⎕SE) after initializing with the following code from my colleague Adám:

      (⎕NS ⍬).⍎'⎕CY''C:\Program Files (x86)\Dyalog\Dyalog APL 16.0 Unicode\ws\salt.dws'' ⋄ enableSALT'

This makes a temporary namespace and copies in SALT and UCMD for enabling SALT and user commands. Modify the path to the salt workspace to reflect where yours is.
