NativeLookAndFeel and The Grid

Postby paulmansour on Wed Mar 12, 2014 5:36 pm

Hi All,

I recently changed my app to work with NativeLookAndFeel to take advantage of some new features like the cue property.

However, it appears that the grid refuses to display the picture on a button in this mode.

In other words, I have grid which uses button objects with a picture property to display an icon in a grid cell. With ShowInput set to 1, this works great in the old mode, but not with NativeLookandFeel turned on.

All I want to do is dislay a picture in a cell ... don't really need it to be a button.

Is this a bug?
Is there another way to get an icon to show up in a grid cell than with a button?
Is there a work around to get it to work?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Paul

Hi Paul,

This is bug 003793: If Native/XP Look and Feel is enabled, the Picture property bitmap of Buttons on a Grid only display on the button of the cell that has the focus.

You can use the Button's BtnPix property to display the picture. I have noticed some display issues if the picture is smaller or larger than the button, so best results can be obtained if the picture is the same size as the button.

Regards,

Vince
