Old web server WS concern

Postby ArrayMac227 on Sun Nov 06, 2016 3:26 pm

I recently tried mounting a web server, using an old (12.1 Unicode) aplserve\SERVER workspace.

Trying to access a page gets me:

Connection failed 1111

Question: what does this mean? Also, is there a reference online for 'Connection failed: xxxx'?

Hi ArrayMac,

Sorry, I couldn't find out what 1111 meant either.

That workspace is an old one and we would not recommend that you use it. It uses our TCPSocket object. We would recommend that you use CONGA and MiServer.

I think that that workspace only works with Classic Dyalog.

Hi ArrayMac,

Are you using Conga to connect to that server?

Is the 1111 error on the Conga side?

If so, DRC.Error can tell you what the error code means:

DRC.Error 1111
1111 ERR_CONNECT_DATA /* Could not connect to host data port */

Regards,

Vince
