This reminds me of the joke about why it really wasn't so difficult for the Lord to create the world in a mere six days...
It was easy - He didn't have an installed user base!
Please keep the feedback coming, we're still looking for someone who would have a problem with the new default - or the new behaviour, if we decide there is no way to switch it off.

I am happy to let you all know we decided to be bold in v17.0 and not have a switch to make it possible to turn the new behaviour off. Thanks for your input!
