Dyalog and GMail
Hello,
Is it possible with Dyalog to automate the sending of e-mails ( gmail ) accompanied with an attachment?
Best regards
Bertrand Delassus

Re: Dyalog and GMail
Having received 3 emails this morning, sent from various Dyalog applications, I can say the answer is yes :-)
Internet mail protocol is essentially sending and receiving text strings (even attachments are converted into hexadecimal strings for safe transfer), communication is via TCP/IP sockets to one server for sending (SMTP) and another for receiving mails (IMAP or POP).
I have a group of functions which do the job and Brian Becker supplied me with script for sending mail for my work on DFS, so there might be a set of "official" Dyalog tools, if you prefer to use SALT OO scripts.
