miServer and localhost

Postby Gantois on Tue Dec 15, 2015 11:48 am

Hi,

My name is Marco, from Brazil. I'm developing a site using miServer (windows 10). I think I have a localhost configuration problem. Could someone help me?
I was using it with success for long time but now I am receiving the same following message:

)load mserver
C:\MiServer\mserver saved Mon Dec 14 07:39:30 2015
Start 'Intro' ⍝ Run the demo server
Start 'Intro' ⍝ Run the demo server
0
MiServer started on port: 8088
3:VALUE ERROR
HttpDate[7] r←((⎕NEW System.DateTime ts).AddMinutes minOffset).ToUniversalTime.GetDateTimeFormats'R'

Dyalog APl Status:
Could not load bridge interface functions. (Error 0x000036b1: "Unknown error")

Thanks,
Marco Gantois

Hi Marco

Could you send support@dyalog.com a note, including the contents of the Help->About box from the interpreter that you are using, and also the output from
      ⎕using←'System'
{⎕ml←0 ⋄ ↑⍕¨⍵}AppDomain.CurrentDomain.GetAssemblies

Hi Marco,

Were you using MiServer successfully on Windows 10 before, or have you recently upgraded to Windows 10?

You haven't mentioned which version of Dyalog you're using, but all current versions of Dyalog are built using Visual Studio 2005.

I've translated your hex 36b1 to 14001 and searched the internet--this link may help you:

Andy and Vince,
Thanks for your repply.

Andy, I sent email to support@dyalog.com with information as you asked me:

⎕using←'System'
{⎕ml←0 ⋄ ↑⍕¨⍵}AppDomain.CurrentDomain.GetAssemblies
VALUE ERROR
{⎕ML←0 ⋄ ↑⍕¨⍵}AppDomain.CurrentDomain.GetAssemblies

message from box DyalogAPL/64 - Status:
Could not load bridge interface functions. (Error 0x000000cb: "Unknown error")

Vince,

My apl is:
Version: 13.2.17617.0 64 Unicode
Created: Apr 28 2013 at 18:29:22
Build ID: 7f3489a8
Serial Number: 002607

I have changed from windows 7 to windows 10 recently and I had problems with my notebook, solved only after reformat C disk and reinstall windows 10, Apl and others softwares, but not Visual Studio. After this I was working in my site (miserver/localhost) without problems for about two weeks, until get that message.

Do you recommend me install Visual Studio 2005? (I will read the link)

Thanks for your help

Vince,

I downloaded but the same problem persisted. My internet access is ok, and I was working normally using local host for about two weeks. Do you recomend install a Visual Studio complete package?

Although Marco's exact error message was different, I'll just add a link here to the advice which helped Marco:
