14.1 GUI Issues
Is it me, or is the session GUI of 14.1 suffering from some problems? The icons are so small I can't see them, the find object box is sized strangely and I cannot resize it vertically, the tool bar controls are not visible on start up...

Hi Paul,
Under Windows 7, my copy of Dyalog 14.1 GUI look fine to me.
What OS are you running under?

And reconfiguring the status bar into a single row mangles them and they can't be un-mangled.

Re: 14.1 GUI Issues
I don't think that the Find Object tool has ever been resizable vertically .. certainly that's the case from 11.0 onwards on my W7 box.
Can you try rebuilding your session, using the BUILDSE workspace. I suspect that some of your issues are due to either Native Look and Feel, or the interaction of the High DPI support built in to 14.1 and the resolution of your screen. However, that doesn't (as far as I am aware) account for missing toolbar controls.
Paul: can you send support a screenshot of an APL session showing these issues, together with details of the resolution of your screen, and what DPI setting you have (the "High DPI Support" section in the 14.1 release notes show where that can be found).
Phil: Can you too send support a screenshot of your toolbars in a mangled state ? I seem to have no problems restoring to a two-line layout ..

Re: 14.1 GUI Issues
Phil and others with status field issues:
You can unmangle them with code like this.
foo;gap;⎕io
⎕io←1
gap←3
⎕CS ⎕SE.cbbot.bandsb1.sb
'hint'⎕WS'posn' 3 0
ins.Posn←3(gap+hint.Posn[2]+hint.Size[2])
num.Posn←3(gap+ins.Posn[2]+ins.Size[2])
caps.Posn←3(gap+num.Posn[2]+num.Size[2])
pause.Posn←3(gap+caps.Posn[2]+caps.Size[2])
Please remember to save your session file afterwards.
I've logged the status field mangling issue as 12999.
Regards,
Vince
