Gitte opens the user meeting with a look at the demographics of this year's delegates before detailing the changes coming up within Team Dyalog in the next few months. She explains the format changes to this year's user meeting (necessitated by the celebration of APL's golden anniversary) and explores Glasgow's link with the Vikings as an introduction to the Viking challenge.

This year the technical road map is split into two parts. The second part of the Road Map, focusing on performance and language features, is presented by Dyalog’s new CTO, Jay Foad. Tomas Gustafsson (Stormwind OY) last demonstrated his stunning Stormwind boating simulator at Dyalog '13, where he demonstrated the incredible realism that he's achieved using Dyalog APL to model sailing round the Finnish archipelago and explained the logic behind. Tomas now shows the progress that has been made over the last three years and talks about his ambitions for the simulator before moving on to the challenge that he's incorporated into the simulator for Dyalog 16's Viking Challenge…

We'll be releasing new Dyalog '16 presentation videos every Friday for the next few weeks.
