Announcing Dyalog Webinars

Postby Karen|Dyalog on Thu May 11, 2017 10:06 am

Dyalog are launching a series of live webinars to share news and information about our products with our users. These webinars will be streamed on https://dyalog.tv, typically on Thursdays, starting at 16:00 in the UK (during summer months 15:00 UTC, else 16:00). The timing is intended to allow as many as possible to follow the sessions live, from Moscow in the East (UTC+3) to San Francisco in the West (08:00). The duration will be between 60 and 120 minutes, depending on the topic and audience participation.

During the session a moderator will monitor a chat room in which questions can be posed to the presenter. Sessions will generally be recorded so if you can’t be there you can usually catch up later – without the ability to interact with the presenter or the audience.

Join us in a week, on Thursday 18th May, when we will get the ball rolling with presentations of new tools for application development, either recently added to version 15.0 or about to be released in version 16.0, which is now available for Beta testing.

Something "old": Richard Smith will present File system functions for reading and writing Unicode Text files, introduced in version 15.0.
Something new: Richard Smith will provide a sneak preview of the ⎕CSV system function for import and export of comma separated value files, coming in version 16.0.
Something experimental: Morten Kromberg will demonstrate the use of the HTMLRenderer object, which allows the creation of rich, portable user interfaces for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS and Linux – in version 16.0

We invite you to join us again at the end of June, on Thursday 29th, when we will celebrate the release of Dyalog Version 16.0 and RIDE 4.0 by showcasing some of their new features.

We look forward to meeting with you at the webinars in May and June! We plan to hold these webinars on a regular basis so watch our Event Calendar on the website for information about future sessions.
